Apologize (One Republic / Timbaland)

I'm holdin' on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin' what you say but
I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down
But wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around and say

That it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall,
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But that's nothing new
I loved you with a fire red
Now it's turning blue
And you say
Sorry like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah

I'm holdin' on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground

Oh Hey She's Back

... is probably what y'all are thinking right now.

There's not much to tell, really - though there IS something, it's not really appropriate to talk about in public, so... there's not much to tell. I will say this, though - I'm not a happy camper right now (so now wouldn't be the best time to be asking me favors).

Anyway, a brief recap of what went on in my life since the last time I posted:

December is the month of Christmas celebrations. Of course, in Accenture that means we get to have a Christmas party/gimmick 3 times - once with your team, once with your project, and once with the whole Manila DC. (I know, I know, we're pretty lucky to be getting all this.) For the team party, we were divided into 3 groups (weeks before the Christmas party) and each group had to present and host one of the ff. TV game shows: Game K N B, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, or Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon, Pasok. It was pretty fun and crazy. For the project, there was a Christmas Fair where a pair of floors were decorated to showcase one of 3 delivery centers: Manila, Madrid, and China. Each floor should have at least 2 booths which could contain either games, information, food, and other gimmicks. The goal was to have many people visit the floor and booths - so the floor with the most visits (proof in the logbook) wins. The first person who visited the most booths also wins an award. It was also pretty fun, and interesting because it was not your usual party. The Manila DC party was held at SMX (hmm, did I get that right - it was that huge building right beside SM Mall of Asia). Not to hurt the feelings of the organizers, but it was kinda boring this round. Well, probably not for the guys - judging by the volume of guys who surged to the front of the stage when the group Mocha came out to perform. The only highlight for me during that party was that I got to meet and chat with my high school friend whom I haven't seen in a long time. Though it was a brief meeting, it was still good to see her.

Then I went on my 2-week Christmas/New Year vacation. My brother's family had not yet visited during Christmas, so day after Christmas, the whole family (meaning, my dad, mom, sis, uncle, and me) went Christmas shopping. I guess it would be more accurate to say post-Christmas shopping. You know, there's something to be said for shopping after Christmas - the crowds are not as thick and there's none of the holiday frenzy. (Which probably accounted for my father's unusual patience when my mom, sis, and I lost track of time in the clothing department. Ahhh, girls.) New Year came and went, then we had another formal family picture. We started this tradition back when I was in 1st year high school. So we had one in 1997, 2002, and 2005. I'm looking forward to seeing this year's photos, and I'll see if I can post up some pics when (if) I go home this Holy Week.

Not long after I came back to Manila, my sis sent me an SMS telling me that our dog, Rottie the Rottweiler, passed away. *sad*. I think she (the dog) got the doggie version of the pneumonia. Uncle had given her a bath some days before though he did not heat the water because he thought it was sunny enough that she wouldn't get cold. But I guess it wasn't. He noticed something was wrong when she started not eating. It went on for a few days. My brother, who's a vet, gave her some medicine, and her appetite came back somewhat and she started eating a little. But still, it wasn't enough, and on the morning of January 12, my uncle found her lying still below my parent's bedroom window. *cries* I don't have a picture of her, but here's an image I found on Google that looks similar enough:

Goodbye, Rottie. I will miss coming home and seeing you stick your face between the balustrade on the terrace to welcome me.

Two weeks after I came back from vacation, work welcomed me back with a vengeance. Not to go into too many details, but it was the main reason February passed me in a blur. Literally. If it wasn't for my PSP and hiphop dancing classes, I think I would have lost my sanity.

The hiphop dancing classes is a community class I signed up for. It started on the last week of January, and the last session will be tomorrow. Nothing too complicated; think of it as just a venue for a group of people to come together and be taught dance steps for a song. Our learning rate is 4 sessions per song, so we're now up to 3 songs. Don't ask me to dance the 1st song, as I was not able to attend 3 of the 4 sessions needed to learn it, LOL (reason: work). It's really quite therapeutic, and if the opportunity rises again, I'll definitely sign up for another class. It's got me looking forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Some of the steps in the last song are really funny - they remind me of a kid bouncing around - but we still do it. *grin* Go me!
